Love is the greatest skill we can build for our health and life.
-it is developing a sense of what defines you and how you wish to define yourself – a meeting of loving acceptance and loving growth – one that comes with challenge, discomfort, and change – to develop an adaptation that creates greater ease and harmony.
-it is coming to a space that does not mean destroyng your foundation, rather embracing and calibrating yourself.
-it is the meeting place of past, present, and future selves – one that grows authenticity and self-compassion and transforms our past stories.
-it is the inner spark that grows into the actions, the skills, the posture, the wellness, and the love that pours outward limitlessly.
We possess the energy to radiate outward – we can in many ways develop this foundation a lot like a plant can photosynthesize – our stories are still to be told. Where does your story feel fixed, leading to repeating cycles, and holding you back from health and fulfillment – and self-acceptance?
It is true that there are parts of us that are slow to change – how can we meet those parts – lovingly in acceptance and understanding? We are perfect adaptations to our past experiences – we can create the environment of growth toward our future by being the Caretakers our bodies need – that is the practice of love – just like caring for a garden to promote growth.
Try this on your journey:
- Use your body to channel the energy of past stories. Return to your breath, your sensations, move around the space around you and feel the air touching you. This moment of life is the only experience to live. Everything else is a mixture of memory, imagination, perception, and projection.
- Build your reserves of handling stressors – try the 5-4-3-2-1 technique or other breathing and mindfulness meditation practices.
- Write down your thoughts – solidify the floating feelings so that you can listen to the message they are trying to communicate. Behind every emotion is a need our body is trying to communicate.
- Remember that you possess so much power and love is your birth rite. Lean into your strengths and untangle your fears and make them your strengths. When it all comes down to it – life is a great miracle, a great lesson. Love yourself the way you deserved to be loved.
